The Rinjani Mountain Trekking Package through the Aik Berik Route is tailored for those who want to enjoy the beauty of Rinjani but with a different atmosphere compared to the two previously commonly traversed routes by climbers, Sembalun and Senaru.The Aik Berik Route is an official route located in Central Lombok Regency.Unfortunately, traversing the Aik Berik Route will not take you to Lake Segara Anak or the summit, only up to Pelawangan. But don’t worry, the experience and natural beauty along the trekking route will not disappoint you. The other side of Rinjani is here! Itinerary for Rinjani Trekking Package Via Aik Berik Day 1: Lombok International Airport – Hotel in Mataram We will pick you up at Lombok International Airport according to your arrival schedule. Afterwards, you will be taken to the Idoop Hotel in Mataram.During dinner time, we will pick you up again at the hotel to go out for dinner while briefing you for the climbing preparation for the next day.After dinner, return to the hotel and rest. Day 2: Mataram City – Aik Berik VillageAt 07:30 in the morning after breakfast at your hotel in Mataram, you will be picked up to head towards Aik Berik Village, Central Lombok.The journey takes about 1.5 hours using the vehicle we have prepared.Upon arrival at Aik Berik Village, first register at the Rinjani National Park Office. After that, take a motorcycle taxi to the forest gate, which is quite far.The trekking journey begins from the Forest Gate with the following travel durations:Forest Gate – Post 1 (Monte) at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level takes about 2 hours of travel. Post 1 – Post 2 (Kayuk Malang) at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level takes about 3 hours of travel. At Post 2, our porters will also serve lunch for you. Post 2 – Post 3 (Cemara) at an altitude of 1,850 meters above sea level takes about 2 hours of travel. At Post 3, we will set up tents for rest and dinner. Day 3: Post 3 – Plawangan Umar Maya – Mataram/Senggigi City (B & L)On the third day, you will be woken up early enough to enjoy breakfast and catch the sunrise. After breakfast, continue walking back to Pelawangan Umar Maya at an altitude of 2,508 meters above sea level. Pelawangan Umar Maya will be the final point of the climb. From here, you can see Lake Segara Anak and the peak of Mount Rinjani across the lake. After enjoying the natural beauty of Pelawangan Umar Maya, descend back to Post 3, have lunch, pack your belongings, and then descend back to Aik Berik Village.Expected to arrive at Aik Berik Village in the afternoon. After that, your transportation will be waiting to take you back to Mataram/Senggigi City/your next destination. Program completed. Day 2: Senaru Village – Sembalun – Sembalun Crater Rim07.00 Start from Senaru using an open truck towards the Mount Rinjani National Park Registration Office in Sembalun Village.09.00 Start the climb from Bawak Nao to Post 1. 11.00 Arrive at Post 1, take a short break then continue the journey to Post 2 Shelter Montong Satas (1500 meters above sea level). 13.00 Arrive at Post 2, have lunch prepared by the porter then continue the journey to Post 3 Mondokan Lolak (2000 meters above sea level). 15.00 Arrive at Post 3, take a short break then prepare to climb Bukit Penyesalan for approximately 3 hours towards Sembalun Crater Rim (2639 meters above sea level). 18.00 Arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim, the porter will set up tents and cook dinner. 19.30 Dinner then rest.Day 3: Sembalun Crater Rim – Rinjani Summit – Sembalun Village – Mataram/Senggigi 01.30 Early morning, prepare to ascend to the summit. We will provide you with warm drinks and snacks before the climb. 02.00 The journey to the summit of Mount Rinjani takes about 3 – 5 hours and can be quite exhausting. The desert, crater, and seemingly endless cliffs will surely pump up your adrenaline during the journey. We recommend wearing thick sweaters to combat the cold weather. 06.00 Arrive at the Rinjani Summit (3726 meters above sea level), you will witness an incredible view, being able to see the entire island of Lombok. You may even catch a glimpse of Mount Tambora, Mount Agung in Bali, and several small islands (gilis) around Lombok Island. 06.30 Descend back to Sembalun Crater Rim, have breakfast prepared by the porter, then continue the journey back to Sembalun Village. 09.00 The return journey to Sembalun Village takes about 8 hours (descent). Hikers will follow the same trail as the previous day’s ascent. 17.00 Arrive at Sembalun Village, the driver will be waiting for you, then continue the journey to the next destination. Hikers will descend rocky slopes with a slope of about 35 degrees. 14.00 Arrive at the lake, have lunch then afternoon rest by the Segara Anak Lake shore, the New Mount Jari located in the middle of the lake looks beautiful. Around the lake, there are also hot springs believed to cure skin diseases, rheumatism, and others. You can also enjoy the sunset and the beauty of the surroundings, enjoy activities at night, make campfires, stargaze, sing, and other activities.
